Il quotidiano francese Le Figaro parla del romanzo di uno scrittore francese di origine greca sul tema del genocidio degli armeni .
"Ho constatato che la maggior parte dei libri sul tema del genocidio sono opere scentifiche ..Penso che se vuoi suscitare l'interesse ... la cosa migliore è scrivere un romanzo......" dice l'autore ...
TATEV MONASTERY – TOURISM CENTER IN SOUTH OF ARMENIA
National Competition Foundation of Armenia drafts a new project on protection of Tatev Monastery and making it a tourism center.
In a meeting with the journalists the executive director of the foundation Bekor Papazyan said that it is planned to reconstruct the monastery, to build a ropeway in Halidzor Canyon and to construct a hotel near the ropeway. “The ropeway will cut the time to reach the canyon by 45 minutes. And it will be more comfortable. And the hotel near the ropeway will serve for hosting tourists,” he said.
According to him working places are guaranteed. The fund of the project is approximately 20 million USD.
DAYS OF FRANCOPHONIA IN YEREVAN
March 19-31 are announced days of francophone countries in Yerevan. A range of concerts, competitions, festivals and film presentations will be conducted, told Sona Mashinyan of the Embassy of France in Armenia to Panorama.am.
According to her fairytale festival will be conducted and storytellers from France, Switzerland, Belgium and Armenia will take part.
On 22 March famous singer Garou is invited to have a concert in the frames of the events, Andre Manukyan will have a concert in Poplavok club, on 23 March, and Federic Nevchehirlyan’s concert will take place on 25 March.

FILM ABOUT ARTSAKH AWARDED GOLDEN MIKE AWARDS
Radio&Television News Association of Southern California (www.rtna.org) awarded Golden Mike Awards the documentary film “Nagorno Karabakh, Artsakh: Fighting for Independence”, reports the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Nagorno Karabakh. The co-author and the co-producer of the film Peter Musurlyan received the award in “Universal Hilton” hotel during the official award giving ceremony.
Vardan Barseghyan, the Deputy Foreign Minister of NKR, who was the permanent representative of NKR to U.S.A., is also the co-author and producer of the film. The basic materials have been provided by Narine Aghbalyan, the director of “Tsir Katin” studio in Artsakh.
In September of 2008 the film was presented in the U.S. Congress (Washington) where Congressmen, diplomats, experts and civil society representatives were present.
“Golden Mike” was founded 59 years ago by the Association and is the most important award in the field of radio&TV journalism. CNN reporter Larry King is one of the prize winners this year.

FRENCH PRESS TOUCHES UPON GILBERT SINUE’S NEW NOVEL ABOUT THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE
French authoritative newspaper Le Figaro daily touched upon French writer Gilbert Sinue’s new novel about the Armenian Genocide titled "Yerevan".
To the question of Figaro, why Gilbert not being an Armenian decided to write a novel about the Armenian Genocide, the latter answered that he had always been on familiar terms with the Armenian people. "I am descended from a Greek catholic family of Egypt. My best friends were the representatives of the Armenian community of Cairo", he mentioned adding that he had heard the testimonies of the survivors of the Genocide since his adolescence. Gilbert Sinue mentioned that the book is published for a large circle of readers.
"I noticed that the books about this tragedy are mainly scientific works. I think that if you want to arouse interest in something, the best way is to write a novel. It can touch people’s souls and hearts. I aim at stirring up more readers’ interest in the Armenian Genocide", he said, according to "Armenpress
