06 02 16- Tehran-Yerevan :Mottaki discusses ties with Armenian president

TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki, currently on a visit to Armenia, discussed latest bilateral and regional developments with Armenian
President Robert Kocharian in Yerevan on Tuesday.

The Foreign Ministry's Information and Press Bureau reported that Mottaki briefed Kocharian on Tehran's nuclear policies and also called for enhancement
of bilateral relations.

Stressing the importance of bolstering Tehran-Yerevan political and economic cooperation, the minister said Iran was ready to carry out various projects in the technical and engineering fields in Armenia.

Kocharian, for his part, welcomed further strengthening of Tehran-Yerevan all-out relations, stressing in this regard previous agreements already
concluded.

He said that two ongoing projects -- the Iran-Armenia gas pipeline and construction of a second highway connecting the two countries -- were notable examples of cooperation between the two capitals.

Kocharian also called for enhanced bilateral economic cooperation in the field of energy in particular.
