•15 year old Zaruhi Harutyunyan of Armenia has began her training schedule with the Cyprus National Tennis Team. Her training involves more than six hours of drills and physical training every day. She will soon be travelling from Cyprus to ITF tournaments in Europe and the Gulf.
•(www.tennisnet.com.cy) - Larnaca Open Tennis Championships - Dikran Bedrossian of London and Simon Aynedjian of Nicosia teamed up to win the Seniors doubles event in Larnaca, defeating the seed one of the tournament Thasos Kyratzis and Tasos Theophanous 7-5, 6-4 in the finals. In the singles event Loucas Christofides scored another victory against Simon Aynedjian 6-4, 6-3 (his third in a row this season) and advanced to the semi finals.
•Barkev Georgiou Somakian of Larnaca - Cyprus took part in the 7th Homenetmen Armenian World Games held in Athens 24th - 31 July 2005. Barkev took part in swimming competition and won 3 medals. Breast stroke 50 m 3rd Place, Breast stroke 100 m 3rd Place, Relay 4 X 50 m (with Team USA West) 2nd place.
