The Armenian genocide bill at French Senate Before end of January

Paris - Patrick Ollier, Minister for Relations with the French Parliament,announced on January 4, that the bill penalizing denial of Armenian genocide will be presented to the Senate on the last days of January.

On December 22, with support from the French government, the project presented by UMP MP Valérie Boyer, from Marseilles, was adopted unanimously by the
National Assembly.

The day after the vote, Valérie Boyer had received threats of rape and death, and its website hacked. Last Sunday the website of former minister
Patrick Devedjian had been hacked by aTurkish ultra-nationalist group.
