French Armenian community commemorated the 90th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Sevres

Yesterday, Armenian community of Paris and close surrounding commemorated the 90th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Sevres.
Approximately 250 people are attending the ceremony at the place of event in presence of elected representatives of the French Republic, RA Ambassador, His Excellency Viguen Tchitetchian, Bishop Zakarian and Armenian community leaders, Chaldean Assyrian, Kurdish and Hellenic.Â

Under auspices of the mayor of Sevres, M. Francois Kosciusko-Morizet, and National Association of Armenian Veterans, the mayor of the Chaville's town, Jean-Jacques Guillet, reported very precisely the history of the signature of the Treaty For its part, Hilda Tchoboian (Euro Armenian Federation) said that "the Treaty of Lausanne did not cancel  the Treaty of Sevres. They are two separate documents," she said. She adds that the Treaty of Sevres is the signal "of the resurrection of the Armenian nation. And that " past time cannot  make obsolete.

Treaty of Sevres was signed on August 10th, 1920
