The Armenian Monuments Awareness Project (AMAP) is working with the Ministry of Culture for Armenia on a multi-year project to increase awareness of Armenia’s historical, cultural and natural monuments by creating and installing signed, print, multimedia and online information at selected sites. Our goals include:

• Create and install multilanguage Information panels, directional signs and markers at each project site. Install pedestrian signs inside urban areas.

• Create multilanguage print guides for each site. Create branded items to improve awareness of and produce income-generating opportunities for sites.

• Create multi-language, multimedia presentations at select sites, including audio tours.

• Assist museums in creating multi-language signage and interpretation for displays.

• Create an online database of Armenian monuments and companion heritage web site.

• Assist in preservation of historical monuments.

• Conduct other activities to improve the awareness and preservation of Armenian monuments.

Stage I: Pilot Project
The first Pilot Stage will carry out our vision to install information panels, directional signs and to print companion booklets at five sites: Garni, Historic Giumri, Zvartnots, Khor Virap/Artashat, and Noravank/Noravank Nature Area
